The truth,
sown in every tongue.
We are one worldwide family of Churches of Christ — gathered across the USA, Europe, and East Africa, with our home in Iowa City and a media ministry carrying the Word to tens of thousands.
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
We are a non-denominational Church of Christ, preaching one God, modesty, healthy Godly living, love, and true Christianity. The Bible is the authority of all our teaching, and the Holy Spirit is its revealer. We live watching for the return of Christ. We worship in every language, our church family is growing strongly across East Africa and the world, and our doors — physical and online — are open to everyone, everywhere.
Four ways we carry the truth
Swahili Worship
A spiritual home for the Swahili-speaking church everywhere — gathered weekly for IBADA in Iowa City and online from every timezone, around Scripture, prayer, and song.
Media & Technology
Live broadcasts, music, and apps that put Scripture into people's hands far beyond our walls.
Compassion
Relief and dignity for the poor, the homeless, and the distressed in our own community.
Africa Missions
Walking alongside churches and ministries in Kenya, Tanzania, and the DR Congo as one family across the water.
Come and worship with us
Each Sunday’s service gathers us around Scripture, prayer, singing, and communion, with a welcome for every language and every visitor.

A pulpit that reaches the world
Every service is broadcast live. Tens of thousands join from every continent — Iowa to Nairobi to Dar es Salaam — worshiping together as one family across the oceans.
Apps that put Scripture in hand
Our team builds tools used by Bible readers and churches, part of carrying the truth into everyday life. Tech is also a mission of its own for us: reaching young believers through technology, and teaching them how engineering can serve the Gospel today. More about our secondary missions →
One church for the world. Home in Iowa City.
The servants who lead
Meshak Maliyabwana M.
Widely known as Apostle Maliyabwana. The gospel set him free from drugs and alcohol in 2020, and he founded this ministry the same year. With the new life came talents he never trained for: video editing, music writing and production, and graphic design. He credits them to the Holy Spirit and pours them into the broadcast every week.
Selemani Bulako
The first pastor of Ukweli Church of Christ in Iowa City, trained personally by Apostle Maliyabwana. He oversees our churches in the USA and our members across Europe, preaching, teaching, and doing outreach. He also helps non-English speakers in the community find jobs and get on their feet.
Barnaba Kabwe
Leads our youth ministry, mentoring young men to overcome alcohol, drugs, and the other desires of youth. He also runs our open-air outreach in the streets and downtown.
Amos Kaswahili
Oversees the churches and street outreach we serve alongside across Tanzania. A professional suit and garment maker, he also leads our modesty ministry, dressing the church in the modesty we preach.
Ishmael Ndayishimiye
An elder since 2022, ordained as the main pastor of the Ukweli Church of Christ in Iowa City in 2026. A preacher of the Word with a big heart for the homeless. Much of his week is spent getting food, clothing, and dignity to people on the street.
